Solar at Lincoln Public Schools is Live!
There are 2716 Photo Voltaic (PV) panels installed at the Lincoln Public Schools on the rooftops and canopy parking. The panels are up and running since October 23, 2024 as well as the back up battery storage. The panels are 1.2 MW DC or 1 MW AC. The schools should be net zero after a year of being on line collecting solar energy. The Tesla battery is a Megapack 2 stores 1124 kWh of electricity that feed back into the scool when the building is at peak usage or solar panels are unavailible. https://lincolnsbc.org/tag/sustainability/
